Brand new brief!

Today we started a new unit - Screen based communication and were given a new brief, Statistics.

We have to create a flash animation, lasting between 30 and 90 seconds, that convinces people of a statistic.

It can focus on the statistic itself or focus on he story behind it and create a narrative animation. Metaphor can also be a useful to explain difficult concepts by comparing them to everyday things. This is an approach I might use with my animation.

The ideas I've had so far are:

• to highlight the increasing consumption of ready meals and the fact that their not as healthy as we think;

• to allert people of the high percentages of waste in the UK or in the world;

• to inform people more about health issues such as, anorexia, obesity etc (maybe contrast the two of them);

• smoking
