D&AD Talk

Today we were able to hear Rhiannon James from D&AD talk about the student briefs we are able to participate in. We are going to have to enter at least one of these competitions individually or as a group, as part of our course structure so it was interesting to hear more about it.
It also gave me a better idea of what they're looking for when judging the work. They look for a good idea that is well executed and on the brief.
She also mentioned the fact that it is crucial that we explain our work as well as possible on the presentation boards we hand in as we won't be there to explain it, which can work toour disadvantage.

"Be original. Healthy disrespect the format" Rhiannon James
